Hawaii is made up of an erupting magma sources under water, new volcanoes are frequently being formed. This magma cools forming these many islands which make up Hawaii. These volcanoes are some of the greatest and well known in the world. Its newest volcano to erupt is Lo'ihi Seamount, which is deep below the seawaters and is curremtly active. The last volcano to erupt outside the big island occured on Haleakala on Maui, it was in late 18th Century. The biggest eruption known in modern times in 1970 was at Kilauea. Many families warriors were killed in this eruption.

The volcanic eruptions have made some beautiful landmarks and Hawaiis natural beauty.
